Bobby pins certainly didn’t look like this when I used to use them. To be honest, they were quite ugly.
Bobby Pin Trivia…
Most of us take hairpins for granted since they have been around forever. Recently someone asked me to create a description for a hairpin and I had to stop and think about how to describe this common hair tool that has been around since the very beginning of any hair accessories.
The “bobby pin” came into wide use as the hairstyle known as the “bob cut” or “bobbed hair” took hold. This trend caught wave in the 1920s, and the bobby pins kept the bobbed hair in place.

Oh my god, those are SO beautiful. They’d look so terrific in my hair! It’s like the perfect accessory when you don’t know what else to do with your drab-lookin’ do.

Yeah, I think you are right. Those pins would make any style that much prettier. At the moment mine is drying into about a zillion ringlets. The flat iron comes next. On second thought, with my curl, those pins would disappear. Think Amanda Marshall but her hair looks good!
